We’re all struggling with our struggles. Nobody has the answers. And everybody, deep down, is a little bit lost.”

The review
Sadie Montgomery is a portrait artist on the cusp of her big break when she ends up in the hospital with face blindness. It’s *probably* temporary, but Sadie has a deadline to finish a brand new portrait for a prestigious competition. Oh and her life — her home, her dog, her career — is kiiiind of hanging by a thread. All she wants to do is curl up and watch endless TV and movies under her wearable blanket, but she has to face her reality of faceless people.
Step one of reading a Katherine Center book: check reality at the door.
Step two of reading a Katherine Center book: enjoy the warm hug and feel good about life.
I love how simple and silly this book was — kind of in a similar way as The Bodyguard was (but actually there was a big, action-packed scene in that one!!). Expect no crazy action in Hello Stranger. Follow along for a fun ride.
My FAVORITE thing about this book is how much of Houston is in it! Gosh, I just love seeing my beautiful city as a setting for a feel-good book! I could exactly picture Sadie’s neighborhood, some of the landmarks, etc. in the book!
Patti Murin, one of my fave audiobook narrators, reads this one! I love it. She really brings Katherine Center’s books to life!
