A Special Place for Women (review)

Calling all witchy girlies!

A SPECIAL PLACE FOR WOMEN by Laura Hankin✨

New York-based journalist Jillian Beckley is on the hunt for her next big byline when she encounters an alleged leader of an alleged exclusive, secret society of women. Her interest is piqued — as is her dreamy editor/friend Miles — and she has an in through her famous chef/lifelong pal, Raf. As she gets to know the group, Jillian finds herself drinking the Kool-Aid of the powerful, rich elite and excited for the political difference she, with the help of her new friends, could make as feminist girl bosses. Well, that is until the group’s best kept secret is exposed and Jillian finds herself in quite a predicament.

This book is smart, sexy, and unforgettable. If you loved Laura Hankin’s other novel, Happy and You Know It, you will thrive reading A Special Place for Women. Both have an interloper exposing the inner workings, insecurities, and vulnerabilities of Manhattan’s wealthy. I absolutely adored Jillian — she was so witty and funny! And the Miles/Raf love triangle was sooo well done. I also HIGHLY recommend the audiobook, which Hankin reads herself! A true renaissance woman!
